Dressing up the area around your fireplace with a mantle or floating shelves like we did here give it a clean simple look. The maple bookcases done in a natural finish provide lots of shelves for storing their books or knick-knacks and comes with a rolling ladder to help reach the top shelf. This basement remodel project included a Bar area, custom built in bookcase and a media center area for this family in St Paul, MN. Custom cabinets done in a natural Maple, with full overlay application and slab doors & drawer fronts. On the far right side of the media center area, doors include speaker cloth for components behind.
Valley Custom Cabinets did this custom built fireplace surround in Stillwater MN. The fireplace cabinetry has area for seating in front of the tempered glass doors, where in the cabinets will house media components. To add some “pop” to the cabinets the customer chose to have the floating shelves stained to stand out from the painted cabinets.
